Wonder

The first time I heard Morten Lauridsen's setting of O Magnum Mysterium, I was left speechless. Even now, after listening to it several hundred times, I am still awed. My favourite recording of this piece is this one, by English choir Polyphony, under the direction of Stephen Layton. To me, this is the sound of the wonder of Christmas.
