Birthday Gift

What birthday gift do you give a good friend who is the self-proclaimed King of Carbohydrates? A crown (presented on a velvet pillow) of course.

Infographic

This graphic of Canada has been making its way around email and social media (sorry, I'm not able to cite an original source).  According to this, my old life in smog has been replaced by life as a hippie.

Drives me up a wall

In 2008, furniture designer Lila Lang sofa presented this sofa at the Parcours Saint-Germaine exhibition in Paris. It became a sensation, showing up in many home decor magazines and circling around even more (every?!) home decor blogs. I read an article about it again last week (apparently, it's one of the most monumental furniture designs in the past decade) and all I could ask was... WHY?  I just don't get it.

What's the point?
