February took us to Las Vegas for the wedding of some dear friends and a much-anticipated visit with my Ontario women's group. We arrived before the wedding celebration and spent the weekend with my brother and sister-in-law, who drove from LA to see us.
They took us to the Hoover Dam- the boys chatted about the engineering feats of the dam and the new freeway bypass bridge under construction while the new sister-in-laws had a wonderful time chatting about everything else!
Receding water levels on Lake Mead were pretty obvious.
We walked up and down the strip several times- it certainly is a bright and loud spectacle at night.

In addition to the wedding and visiting with much-missed friends, the highlights for me were seeing Cirque du Soleil and the Bellagio fountains.
