20th day of Christmas

With my nephew's arrival last week, my family welcomes a new generation of members. In just a few days we will all be together, no doubt laughing much and enjoying our time together (and getting to know our newest member). I've been thinking a lot about the circle of life and death this Christmas, especially after nearly loosing my father this summer. Welsh composer John David (with the help of Philip Lawson, from the acclaimed King's Singers) has written an incredibly beautiful new carol that I have fallen in love with. It feels that the text is written especially for me this Christmas- and fills me with such hope and peace after what has been a long and sometimes difficult year.
